Pick a binding before you pick a page count
Most business brochures we produce are saddle-stitched: folded sheets stapled through the spine. It is the cheapest way to bind and it works well from 8 up to 48 pages. Page counts have to go up in fours, because each folded sheet makes four sides, so plan your content around 8, 12, 16 or 20 pages rather than an odd number.
Past roughly 48 pages a stapled spine starts to bow, and that is where perfect binding comes in. The pages are glued into a square spine like a paperback, which looks more substantial on a reception desk and lets you print the title along the edge. Corporate reports and longer catalogues usually end up here.
Formats and paper for a marketing brochure
A4 gives room for detailed product tables and large photography. A5 is easier to post, hand out at events or leave on a counter. Square formats stand out in a pile of standard-sized literature and suit design-led or lifestyle brands.
Our standard inner pages are 130 to 170gsm silk with a heavier 250gsm cover, which keeps the brochure rigid without making it awkward to fold. Uncoated, recycled and textured stocks are available when the feel of the paper is part of the message.

If you need the layout done, our designers produce brochures from £149 for an 8-page A5, including image sourcing and two rounds of changes. Booking design and print together means the file is built to our press settings from the start, so there is no back-and-forth over bleed or low-resolution photos.
Printing starts from around £79 for 50 copies of an 8-page A5 saddle-stitched brochure, and runs of 500 or more bring the unit cost down considerably. Standard production is 5 to 7 working days from approved artwork, with 48-hour express on most short runs. Finished brochures are packed flat and can be split across several delivery addresses.

How many brochures do I need to order?
Digital printing starts at 50 copies. For 250 copies and above we usually switch to litho, which gives a lower price per brochure on bigger runs.
Why does my page count need to be a multiple of four?
A stitched brochure is made from folded sheets, and every sheet adds four pages. If your content lands on 10 pages, we will suggest going to 12 or trimming to 8.
Can you lay out our brochure from a Word document?
Yes. Send the copy and any photos and our designers build the brochure, from £149 for an 8-page A5 with two rounds of amendments included.
Can brochures go to more than one address?
Yes. We can split a run and deliver batches to different offices or branches.
