Leaflet distribution cost per 1,000 households

Distribution is priced per thousand leaflets delivered, and the rate depends on how your leaflet travels: on its own, or alongside others. Understanding that one distinction explains most of the price differences you will see quoted.

What our per-thousand rates look like

A 2,500-leaflet GPS-tracked test drop starts from around £145. A 5,000 solus campaign starts from around £290, and 10,000 starts from around £560. The per-unit rate falls as rounds get denser and walkers spend less time travelling between streets.

  • 2,500 leaflets, GPS-tracked test drop - from £145
  • 5,000 leaflets, solus with postcode targeting - from £290
  • 10,000 leaflets, multi-postcode rounds - from £560

Solus versus shared and why it changes the rate

Solus means your leaflet is the only item through the door on that round. Shared means it travels with one or two non-competing items, which splits the walking cost between advertisers and lowers your rate.

Shared is cheaper per thousand. Solus gives your message the door to itself. Neither is automatically the right answer: for a first test, we usually recommend solus so the result reflects the leaflet, not the company it kept.

Targeting choices that affect price

Tight, high-density urban rounds are the most efficient. Rural rounds with long driveways and scattered properties take longer per hundred doors, so they cost more per thousand. Flats with controlled entry, business parks and mixed-use streets also change the picture.

  • Household density on the selected postcode sectors
  • Residential versus business-to-business delivery
  • Whether you want specific streets rather than whole sectors
  • How quickly the full volume must be completed

Cost per enquiry is the number that matters

Rate per thousand only tells you what the drop costs. Divide total campaign spend by the enquiries it produced and you get the number you can actually compare against your other marketing. Use a dedicated phone number, a code word or a distinct landing page so the attribution is real rather than assumed.

Frequently asked

How do I know the leaflets were delivered?

Every round is GPS-tracked and you receive a report showing the routes walked and coverage achieved, normally within 48 hours of the campaign completing.

What is a sensible first test volume?

2,500 to 5,000 leaflets into one or two well-chosen postcode sectors. That is enough to read a response without committing the whole budget to an untested area.

Can you distribute leaflets I printed elsewhere?

Yes. Deliver them to us bundled and we will run the campaign. We will flag anything about the size or stock that could cause letterbox problems before the round starts.

Plan your drop by postcode

Tell us the areas you want covered and the volume, and we will map the rounds and price them.
